Kahlen's first solids... YUM!

Today our little girl grew up a bit more
(*sigh* where does the time go)

She tried her first taste of 'solid' food this evening. A delicious menu of rice cereal which closely resembled gruel, and which sparked a number of mildly comedic comments from her father
(Yeesh, Steve has those corny 'dad jokes' down to a fine art already)

To be honest, I think she was more interested in the bag than the food... but look how pretty the bag is

'BACK OFF' get your own solids!

Mommy mixing the rice cereal with some 'momma milk'.
(a practice that other, non-first-time-moms, have teased me about...'who measures?')

Miss K...apparently mom and dad have very poor aim!

OH MOM THIS STUFF IS GREEEEAAAAT!
I think all in all, she probably wore more than she ate but it was a fun experience for us all. When Kahlen arrived 15 weeks early I never imagined that only 200 days later she would be starting solids, belly laughing, reaching for toys, sitting up, 'talking' and so much more....

I LOVE THIS KIDDO!

Story Time

I am VERY happy to announce that Miss K is a book lover,
just like her Momma and her Moto!
At least twice a day, Kahlen cuddles up with a good book.

Today's reading list:
Yummy Yucky and Big Small

(This is her FAVE page! Must remind her of her mother?)

NOW THE AMAZING READING BABY... TA DA!

This is my fave picture.
Im so proud of her for holding her head up so well while on her tummy.
She is such a joy to watch grown and develop (though most of the time I need to remind myself that she is only 14 weeks old developmentally, even though she is nearly 7 months old. Tough to wrap my brain around sometimes. A "joy' of having a baby 15 weeks early)

I just LOVE that she LOVES to read!
As a teacher, reader, and mom...
it's wonderful to see my girl loves her books!

POONAMI!

WARNING: The following pictures are just plain disgusting!
POOOOONNNAAAAMIIII!

How can someone so small produce so much... poop?
The worst part was... she did this and smiled...
she must think this kind of crap is cute (pardon the pun ;)

After a quick back with Dad, she is squeaky clean and ready for....

.... lounging, veggin', and being a NUDIE!
Ahhh yes, we have a very classy little girl!

Pride doesn't quite cover it!

Extra Extra read all about it.
Kahlen's mom is a nut job and feels a compulsive need to post a billion pictures of her on this blog.
CUTE EH?
(you'd better have answered yes...*fist shaking*)
